Wayne Coyne, the eccentric frontman of The Flaming Lips known for walking across audiences in a giant hamster ball, turned 50 yesterday. I happen to think the man is a genius and love when he talks about his philosophy towards music and being a musician. Though I will rarely suggest digital media – if you think such a thing might interest you download iTunes Original – The Flaming Lips.
So, Happy Birthday Wayne. I’m celebrating by listening to Yoshimi (a song that was never a favorite until I saw them live).
(Thanks go to RB for first making me a Wayne Coyne fan.)
